On 21 June, in our Sminary at Samayapuram, India, our brother Arockia Samy was ordained as a deacon by Most.Rev.Dr.AntoniSamy, bishop of Kumbakonam. It took place during a liturgy, which was well arranged and participated by our all our OMD Indian fathers, many priests from the diocese and religious houses and relatives and friends. Bishop, during his homily, insisted that diaconate is to serve and exhorted everybody to be aware of the elements,i.e., attachment with material things and persons, which can be very detrimental to our service to the Church and as minister of the Church. Desire makes the person unhappy and the minster of the Church should be a desire-less person to serve Her happily. Fr.Deleagte welcomed the gathering , Deacon Samy thanked everybody and the liturgy was well arranged by Fr.Beno and his community.26 giugno 2014
